System
Character Creation
Using a character sheet, blank sheet of paper, index card, or app:
- Note your characters Ability Scores
- Note your characters Ability Score Bonuses
- Roll 3d6x10 for your characters starting money
- Purchase starting Equipment for your character
- Note your characters Armor Class
- Note your characters Hit Points
- Name your character
Abilities
Strength (STR): Add the bonus when making a melee attack, and when rolling for damage. Add the bonus when saving vs physical harm that can't be avoided.
Dexterity (DEX): Add the bonus when rolling for initiative and attacking with a ranged weapon. Add the bonus when saving vs physical harm that could have been avoided.
Constitution (CON): Add the bonus to each Hit Die (HD) when rolling for Hit Points (HP). Add the bonus when saving vs Poison, Disease, or Death.
Intelligence (INT): Add the bonus as a penalty to a targets saving throw. Add the bonus when saving vs spells and magic.
Wisdom (WIS): Character may gain a psychic ability for each bonus.Add the bonus when saving vs deception and illusions.
Charisma (CHA): Add the bonus when bartering. Add the bonus when saving vs charm. Characters with a bonus may start the game with a "companion".
Generating Ability Scores
For each ability roll 3d6 and add the result

Hit Points (HP)
Character Creation
- Characters start with 6 HP (+/-) CON bonus
- Note the characters starting HP on your character sheet
Gaining a Level
- Roll 1d6
- Add the characters Constitution bonus to the result
- Add the result to the characters current HP
- Update the character sheet to use the characters new HP.
Death
At 0 or less HP, the character is dead.
Armor Class
Armor Class (AC) measures how well you are protected in combat.
Lower AC = better protection (harder to hit).
AC is based on:
- Worn armor (or protective gear)
- Dexterity bonus
- Special items
